The Bank of Israel has presented to the public a draft of the third reform of bank account servicing fees in recent years.
According to the reform, instead of different tariff “routes”, customers will be offered a single tariff of up to 10 shekels for the first 100 account transactions per month, and 1 shekel for each transaction beyond that.
Customers making no more than two account transactions per month will be charged a fee of NIS 5.
No additional action will be required from clients. Customers who received a fee waiver will continue to receive it.
According to the Bank of Israel, small businesses will benefit the most from the reform.
