Posti is laying off more than 100 people

Postal the change negotiations have ended, Posti informs. As a result of the change negotiations, Posti will cut 121 jobs.

In addition, five of Posti’s own stores will be managed by partner companies, to Posti’s other service points or parcel machines in March–April 2026.

Posti will tell you more about the locations and opening hours of the service points subject to the change tomorrow, Thursday. For now, all Posti stores are serving as normal.

Of Posti’s own stores, the post office located in Postitalo in the center of Helsinki and the Rovaniemi store, i.e. Santa’s main post office, will continue to operate.

At the same time, Posti is increasing automation in sorting at the Helsinki Post Office. Posti reported on the change negotiations when announcingthat the largest single reduction would be targeted at the Helsinki Post Center.

Posti has also specified the organizational structures of the Basic and Early Delivery productions of the Postal Services business.

Posti also says that it will concentrate the operations of the customer service unit, which serves via chat, phone and email, in Helsinki and Rovaniemi during this year.
