Haifa Refinery: Damage from rocket attack will take several days to repair

The Haifa Refinery published a message to the stock exchange in which it reported that as a result of a missile attack in the north of the country on March 19, 2026, spot damage was caused on the territory of the plant in Haifa Bay.

The electrical infrastructure supporting one of the service facilities was damaged, as well as an open area near the administrative building. There were no casualties.

During the night, it also became clear that external infrastructure located outside the complex, owned by a third party and critical to the group’s activities, was damaged. According to preliminary estimates, its restoration will take several days. At the time of publication, most production facilities are operational, the rest are in the process of restarting.

The company is assessing the impact of the incident on operating activities and financial results, and is also studying the procedure and timing for full restoration of the facilities.

The company’s insurance policy provides coverage for consequential damages from terrorist attacks and acts of war in the amount of US$400 million on top of the initial damages of US$50 million.
