Switzerland announced blocking the export of military equipment to the United States during the war with Iran

Switzerland has announced it will block military exports to the United States and other countries involved in the conflict with Iran for the duration of the war.

“The export of military equipment to countries involved in the international armed conflict with Iran cannot be allowed until it ends,” the Swiss government said.

According to SWI swissinfo, Defense Minister Martin Pfister said the Swiss government does not fear a backlash from US President Donald Trump.

The government’s use of the neutrality law did not come as a surprise to foreign countries, Pfister said at a press conference on the US Forces 2026 report in Bern, answering questions from reporters.

He recalled that Switzerland has long refused to export military equipment to Israel and does not export military materials to Iran.
