210 billion dirhams increase in the Central Bank’s budget within a year, with a growth of 23%

The Central Bank of the Emirates announced in its balance sheet report for January 2026 that its balance sheet rose during the year by 23%, or the equivalent of 210 billion dirhams, to reach 1.119 trillion dirhams at the end of last January, compared to 909 billion dirhams at the end of January 2025. The budget increased on a monthly basis by 2.38%, or by 26 billion dirhams, compared to By 1.093 trillion dirhams at the end of December 2025. The Central Bank’s budget was distributed on the assets side at 224.2 billion dirhams for cash and bank balances in January 2026, in addition to investments reserved until maturity at about 767.6 billion dirhams, 76.2 billion dirhams for deposits, and 51.3 billion dirhams.
