Since the approval of the unpaid leave scheme, 10 thousand new unemployed have been recorded

According to Davar, in just four days since the approval of the HALAT scheme, the number of people registered as job seekers has increased by about 25% and now stands at 50,788 people, 63.4% of the new unemployed are women.

Thus, from Wednesday last week, before the approval of the unpaid leave scheme, more than 10 thousand unemployed people were added.

Of the total number of people who registered since the beginning of the war, 28,723 people, that is, 56.5%, reported that they were sent to HALAT. By comparison, 12,731 people reported layoffs. The total number of active job seekers in Israel now stands at 205,824.

Among those who registered during Operation Roar of the Lion, 63.4% were women, and only 36.6% were men. 13,596 people registered in Dan District, 13,526 in Northern District, 8,243 in Sharon and Amakim District, 7,852 in Jerusalem District, and 7,581 in Southern District.

The State Employment Service urges employees sent on unpaid leave, as well as employers who want to centrally submit data about their employees, to register on the website in advance to avoid delays after the completion of the legislative process.
