The business chamber explained that this increase in the dollars received by the sector was rooted in the “increased arrival of corn trucks and shipments of wheat and corn added to flour and soybean oil, along with the start of the sunflower campaign”.

As reported by the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR), shipments of grains and by-products reached a unprecedented volume of 29 million tons in the first quarter of the year.

In that period, 8.8 million tons of wheat (11.7 million in the campaign), double that of the last five years. The shipments of barley they reach 2.5 million in the year (2.8 million in the campaign); 40% above the average for the last five years and 50% more than in the last decade.
