Israeli businessman Aharon Frenkel bought an 11% stake in the Tamar field from Mubadala Petroleum for $520 million.
Thus, the company belonging to the emirate of Abu Dhabi has 11% of the shares of the Israeli gas field.
Recall that in 2021, Mubadala Petroleum bought a 22% stake in Tamar from Yitzhak Tshuva, who was supposed to sell them under the terms of an agreement with the state on the rights to the Leviatan field. Then the company from the UAE paid 965 million dollars for them.
