On Wednesday, October 18, a cargo of vegetables from Turkey, consisting of 80% tomatoes, was delivered to the port of Haifa. A total of 4,500 tons of vegetables were delivered.
Urgent imports were authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture due to the impossibility of harvesting in the southern regions of the country, which were in the war zone.
In particular, communities adjacent to the Gaza Strip grew 70% of the tomatoes consumed by Israel.
