(AGI) – Rome, Nov. 8. – From mid-January 2024 Lufthansa will allow the use of WiFi for chat services such as WhatsApp on many short- and medium-haul flights in Europe, as the company explained. Until now the service was only possible for a maximum of 30 minutes on each route. Der Spiegel reports it.
Travelers should then be able to receive and write an unlimited number of messages, including photos, on their smartphone or tablet on board the plane. Lufthansa specifies that around two thirds of the aircraft over these distances are currently equipped with WiFi.
