AstraZeneca signed an agreement with Israel to support biomedical startups

The Office of Innovation at the Israeli Ministry of Science and the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca have signed a cooperation agreement.

As part of the agreement, the management will pay for the company’s services to support Israeli startup companies developing unique technologies in the field of healthcare and medicine.

The pharmaceutical giant will provide startups with support in the areas of medicine, development and regulation.

The selection of startups for the program will be carried out jointly by AstraZeneca, the international consulting firm Accenture and the Clalit health insurance company.
