STOCK EXCHANGE: Valmet opened up after raising target prices

The Helsinki Stock Exchange opened quietly on Friday with a gentle 0.1 percent rise. The general index had strengthened to 10,128 points.

In the most traded stocks Nordea had risen by 0.6 percent, while In this was up 0.3 percent.

In the morning, some increase in the target price was received. Increases were seen especially in the engineering workshop, which reported yesterday’s positive earnings warning in Valmet, which was also the second most traded stock of the morning. The share was up 0.4 percent.

Inderes raised Valmet’s target price from EUR 29.00 to EUR 28.00, plus recommendation unchanged.

OP raised Valmet’s target price to EUR 30.00 from EUR 28.50, the add recommendation remains unchanged.

Nordea raised Valmet’s target price to EUR 32.00 from EUR 29.00, the buy recommendation remained unchanged.

“Valmet’s share price reacted very strongly to the positive earnings warning, and in our view, a significant reason for this was the significant number of short-sold positions. The stabilization of the operational operating environment of some customer sectors (mainly the chemical forest industry) strengthens the predictability of Valmet’s near future. At the same time, the increase in the revenue share of the stable business has a permanently stabilizing effect on the business,” OP’s morning review wrote.

Evli raised in turn Etteplan recommendation to buy level from hold level, the target price however remained at 14.50 euros.

Konecranes announced that the director of the Port Solutions business area and a member of the Konecranes management team Juha Pankakoski leave the company. He will start in another position outside the company.
