General Claudio Graziano found dead in his home.  An investigation opened

General Claudio Graziano, president of Fincantieri, has died. He was born in Turin in 1953. The confirmation comes from the Trieste press office. Graziano was found dead this morning in Rome. The police, the magistrate on duty and the medical examiner were on site. The first investigations are underway even if the suicide is, at the moment, the most probable one. However, the Rome prosecutor’s office has opened a file hypothesizing the crime of incitement to suicide, which is necessary to carry out all the necessary checks.

Mattarella: “Generous and loyal man of the institutions”

“I express deep sorrow at the news of the sudden passing of General Claudio Graziano”, states the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. “I remember – he continues – the figure of a generous and loyal man of the institutions, capable of always putting his competence and professionalism at the service of the Republic, qualities demonstrated in the important national and international top roles held during his long career career”.

 

Meloni: “I’m shocked”

“I am shocked by the news of the tragic death of General Claudio Graziano” says Giorgia Meloni in a note in which she adds: “He leaves us an upright servant of the State, who throughout his life brought honor to the nation, to the armed forces and to the institutions with dedication, competence and professionalism, I would like to extend, on my behalf and that of the entire government, my condolences and closeness to his family and loved ones”, concludes the Prime Minister.

Tajani: “A friend, he brought honor to Italy”

“The passing of General Claudio Graziano leaves me speechless. He was a friend and was an extraordinary officer who brought honor to Italy even in his European roles.” This was stated by the Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, on X. “May a prayer accompany him on the journey to reach his bride” he concluded.

Fincantieri: “Immense pain”

Fincantieri expressed “immense sorrow for the sudden passing of General Claudio Graziano, president of the group, which leaves a large and unbridgeable void”. In a note “the CEO and general manager Pierroberto Folgiero, the Board of Directors, the board of statutory auditors, the managers and all the employees of Fincantieri remember with emotion the extraordinary human and professional qualities that have always distinguished him in his long career”.
