Iraqi Oil Minister: Dry gas production in Iraq exceeded two thousand million cubic feet

Hayyan Abdul Ghani, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Iraqi Minister of Oil, confirmed the progress of implementing 8 major projects to invest in associated gas.

A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Khaleej, stated that Abdul Ghani said during the Iraqi Council of Ministers session in a speech: “Iranian gas continues to equip Iraqi power stations,” adding that “the quantities of imported gas are not sufficient to operate all Electricity stations in Iraq.

He added, “Dry gas production in Iraq exceeded two thousand million cubic feet, as we recorded an increase in the rate of gas investment during the current year.”

He added: “️ We are continuing to implement 8 major projects to invest in associated gas.”

He continued, “The first phase of the solar power station project will be completed next year.”

Abdel-Ghani concluded his speech by saying: “️ We concluded a number of agreements to invest in low-pressure gas.”
