Insurance for cars crossing King Fahd Causeway to Bahrain is electronic only

United Insurance Company, which is responsible for providing mandatory insurance for vehicles and cars crossing the King Fahd Causeway towards Bahrain, announced that obtaining short insurance periods (3, 5, 10 days) for these vehicles and cars will be exclusively through electronic channels, starting from the first of next July.

The company explained in a statement that the shortest insurance period that can be obtained through insurance booths is one month.

The United Insurance Company stated that this step aims to facilitate the procedures for obtaining insurance, and to ensure that travelers cross the bridge smoothly and conveniently.

The electronic insurance service allows the issuance of insurance documents and payment of fees due electronically. It also enables the issuance of the insurance document before passing through the King Fahd Causeway.

Maysaa Al Kooheji, CEO of United Insurance Company, said: “This measure is among the initiatives that the company is working on implementing, which falls within the framework of the comprehensive digital transformation policy that the company is witnessing in all its operations.” She added that this step comes as a continuation of the new stage in the development process. The company’s services were announced last January and began with the launch of its logo and new visual identity.
