Unemployment insurance reform: confusion over the date of publication of the decree

This is a hot potato that the executive clearly does not know what to do with… While the publication of the decree relating to the highly contested reform of unemployment insurance is eagerly awaited by the opposition, but also and especially by France Travail, a race against time seems to have begun. This text should allow, from July 1, to extend the rules currently in force until the end of November. It marks the start of the new tightening of the compensation rules which will apply from December 1, 2024.

Rules that set the powder keg alight, with a tightening of conditions that will penalize the most precarious, a duration of compensation reduced from 18 months to 15 months for all unemployed people and the elimination of the three senior streams reduced to a single one from the age of 57. The National Rally (RN) and the New Popular Front have also promised to repeal the reform.
