UBS strengthens its global wealth management team in the Middle East

In pursuit of the flexible implementation of its strategies, and focusing on customer requirements and needs after the acquisition of Credit Suisse, the UBS Global Wealth Management Group is working to develop and modernize its regional operations and strengthen its work teams in the Middle East region, by appointing three employees in… Senior executive positions alongside other administrators.

In its statement, the Swiss bank said it had appointed Rana Al-Imam, who served as head of private banking at HSBC in Abu Dhabi, as head of UBS business development in the UAE capital, effective from early July 2024.

Basil Al-Zouk, former CEO and head of Deutsche Bank’s global operations in Saudi Arabia, will manage the local wealth accounts in the Kingdom and will work alongside Tom Enyeke, head of international business, to drive the growth of UBS’s global wealth management business there.

Also, Ali Khunji, former Head of Wealth Management and Personal Banking at HSBC, will hold the position of development officer for the wealth management business portfolio in Bahrain and the Eastern Province.
