Brussels Airlines expects more than 1.2 million travelers in July and August

Within Europe, according to Brussels Airlines, islands are particularly popular this summer, with full flights to Zakynthos, Corfu and Rhodes in Greece and Gran Canaria, Mallorca and Lanzarote in Spain. City trips are also popular in the summer, especially to cities with a milder climate such as Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden.

Outside Europe, it is noticeable that many Belgians choose a holiday in the United States, with direct flights to New York and Washington DC. Thanks to collaborations with travel organizations, there are also full flights to destinations such as Hurghada in Egypt and Antalya in Turkey.

To be prepared for the summer, Brussels Airlines has hired more than 180 additional cabin crew and 64 additional pilots. The airport teams will be reinforced with 40 new check-in staff during the summer. In addition, there are 70 student workers who will assist the ground staff.
