De Croo will receive Audi management and unions next week

Outgoing Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will speak to Audi’s management and unions on Tuesday, together with a representative of formateur Bart De Wever. The Prime Minister announced this to VRT on Wednesday.

“I will now receive the management and the unions of Audi together with (a representative of, ed.) formateur De Wever on Tuesday, first and foremost to be able to get text and explanations,” said the prime minister. “The announcement is not in line with the process that the management of Audi had explained to us in the past.”

The prime minister wants to look at what can be done together with the various parties to keep as many jobs as possible at Audi in Brussels. “Our country has a number of assets, but Audi must indicate which direction they want to go in terms of investments,” De Croo told VRT.

According to the outgoing Prime Minister, the future government can examine in the new coalition agreement what measures it can take to retain a maximum number of industrial jobs in Belgium.
