Easyjet strike in Portugal between 15 and 17 August, over 200 flights cancelled

Easyjet has cancelled more than 200 flights to and from Portugal due to a cabin crew strike between 15 and 17 August, called by the union at the end of July to ask for “better working conditions”. The company had defined the strike as “inappropriate”. The British company has cancelled 232 flights out of 1,138 flights involved.

Easyjet also serves the capital Lisbon, as well as major routes such as Porto and Faro. The Portuguese government has ensured that minimal services are maintained on some routes, including London, Geneva, Luxembourg and the island of Madeira. Easyjet has offered to refund passengers on cancelled flights or rebook them on other flights.
