“Solar energy is not new, Archimedes was already burning boats by concentrating the sun’s rays with a parabolic mirror.” In 2016, Gilles Gallo and Gatien Brault created the company Solar Brother, to “bring this technology up to date by using everyday objects.” Their latest innovation is a solar heater, which can be hung on the wall to gain up to three degrees.
Contrary to what the name of their company might suggest, they are not brothers. “Well, not blood. We are brothers of the sun,” jokes Gatien Brault, an engineer by training. “It is our shared passion for solar energy and the desire to move things forward that brought us together.”
