Forestry company UPMUPM Fibers says it is reforming its organization by centralizing its production operations in Finland under one organization.
As of October 1, 2024, UPM Fibers will consist of two production organizations: the current Fibers Uruguay Operations and the new Fibers Finland Operations. Fibers Finland Operations will include UPM Pulp’s Finnish pulp mills, UPM Metsä and UPM Timber.
As part of this organizational change Petri Hakanen has been appointed as the director of Fibers Finland Operations (Senior Vice President, Fibers Finland Operations) from 1 October 2024. Hakanen will be a member of the UPM Fibers management team and will report to the CEO of UPM Fibers Aki to Temmes.
