Death of Alain Delon: the inhabitants of Bourg-la-Reine take up their pens in memory of “such a beautiful era”

There are these messages of admiration for the cinema monster that he was, memories of his family and sometimes some juicy anecdotes. In Bourg-la-Reine (Hauts-de-Seine), where Alain Delon spent part of his youth, the guestbook, opened on August 19 at the town hall, the day after the actor’s death, has collected more than fifty testimonies. “It was very successful, people came quite spontaneously. I didn’t expect it to collect so many words,” observes Patrick Donath, the mayor (UDI) of Bourg-la-Reine, leafing through the blackened pages.

With a pretty signature, a certain Brigitte addresses the icon of French cinema: “I will never forget that day in July 1978 when our eyes met.” A simple fleeting connection, dreamed of, real or the beginning of a secret idyll? Brigitte says no more and keeps this memory preciously.
