Campiello Award, ceremony with 1,000 guests and guest Barbarossa

See you on Saturday 21 September, in the historic venue of the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with the final of the 62nd edition of the Campiello Prize. The closing ceremony of the prize organized by the Il Campiello Foundation – Confindustria Veneto will be hosted by Francesca Fialdini, a television host and well-known face on Rai1, accompanied by Lodo Guenzi, a musician (Lo Stato Sociale) and actor (2021 Biraghi Prize). During the evening, there will also be a special guest: the singer-songwriter and host Luca Barbarossa who will intervene during the show with some musical contributions.

There will also be a preview of a musical composition by Maestro Franco Mussida, founder and president of the CPM Music Institute, created specifically for the Campiello Prize. A musical journey that unites Italian tradition with the sounds of the world, with the guitar as the protagonist.

The evening will begin at 8:30 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Rai 5 (channel 23 of the TV) and streamed on the Rai Play platform. It will also be possible to follow the ceremony via the hashtag #PremioCampiello2024 and on Instagram, again via the official account @premiocampiello.

The absolute protagonists remain the five finalists of this edition of the Campiello, with whom Francesca Fialdini will dialogue, while waiting to know the winner chosen by the Jury of Three Hundred Anonymous Readers.

Competing for the coveted “wellhead” of this 62nd edition of the Campiello Prize are: Antonio Franchini with “The Fire That You Carry Inside” (Marsilio), Federica Manzon with “Alma” (Giangiacomo Feltrinelli), Michele Mari with “Locus Desperatus” (Giulio Einaudi publisher), Vanni Santoni with “It’s Spreading Everywhere” (Laterza), Emanuele Trevi with “The Magician’s House” (Ponte alle Grazie).

The final will be attended by an audience of approximately 1,000 guests including institutional guests, representatives of the business world, culture and publishing houses. Finally, during the ceremony, the winners of the other awards provided by the Il Campiello Foundation will be awarded, including the winners of the Opera Prima, awarded to Fiammetta Palpati for “La casa delle orfane bianche” (Laurana Editore) and the Premio Fondazione Il Campiello, the lifetime achievement award assigned this year to Paolo Rumiz. Angelo Petrosino and Daniela Palumbo, winners of the two categories competing in the third edition of the Campiello Junior, and Emanuela Evangelista, winner of the second edition of the Campiello Natura – Premio Venice Gardens Foundations, will also be awarded. Finally, it will be an opportunity to celebrate the winner of the Campiello Giovani who will be awarded by Cristina Balbo, Regional Director of Veneto Ovest and Trentino Alto Adige of Intesa Sanpaolo, Main Sponsor of the Award and Exclusive Partner of the Campiello Giovani.

Before the final evening, on Friday 20 September, at 7:00 pm, the Teatro Goldoni in Venice will host the ceremony to announce the winner of the Campiello Giovani during the event “Note e Parole”.

The evening, born from the synergy with CPM Music Institute and made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, will be animated by the musical compositions resulting from the artistic combination between the works of the young finalists and the musical talent of some students of the Institute. The songs will be accompanied for the occasion by the performances of the Daghilev Dance School of Venice. The event, directed by Davide Stefanato, will be presented by Federico Basso and Davide Paniate and will also see a musical contribution by Franco Mussida.

During the evening, a special mention will be awarded for the best story that will deal with the theme of business culture, in collaboration with the National Movement of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and presented on stage by Riccardo Di Stefano, President of Young Entrepreneurs. A special mention will also be awarded to a story that will deal with issues related to social and/or environmental sustainability and presented on stage by Cristina Cipiccia, Commercial Director of Retail Veneto Est and Friuli Venezia Giulia of Intesa Sanpaolo.

The Campiello Prize, established in 1962 by the Industrialists of Veneto, is promoted and managed by the Il Campiello Foundation, composed of the Industrial Associations of Veneto and their regional Federation. It is among the most important success stories in Italy of concrete and strategic connection between the world of business and culture, and has always been distinguished by the values ​​that make it unique: transparency, independence and ethics, thanks to which the Prize has become accredited as one of the most important Italian literary competitions.
