‘Paolo Graldi’ journalism award, who are the winners of the first edition

The Jury of the Paolo Graldi Journalism Awardunder the presidency of Gianni Letta, chose the winners of the first editionwhich this year is divided into the sections “Political Journalism”, “Investigative Journalism”, “Judicial Journalism”, “Radio and Television Journalism”, “Journalist Under 35” and “Communicator”. Authoritativeness and competence, combined with constant commitment to the search for details useful for understanding every event, from local news to major international events, are the fundamental requirements that this Award aims to enhance, and which have characterized Paolo’s professional career Graldi. The awards will be presented during an event hosted by Paola Saluzzi on November 29th, at 3.30 pm, in the Sala della Regina in Palazzo Montecitorio.

With these inspiring principles, the jury coordinated by Massimo Martinelli and composed of Emilio Albertario, Maurizio Caprara, Paolo Conti, Luigi Contu, Alessandro De Angelis, Margherita De Bac, Ferruccio De Bortoli, Franco Ferraro, Stefano Folli, Bruno Manfellotto, Silvana Mazzocchi, Clemente Mimun, Antonio Padellaro, Barbara Palombelli, Vittorio Sabadin, Fiorenza Sarzanini and Antonello Valentini chose the winners of the award.

In the “Political Journalism” section, the recognition goes to Massimo Franco, editorialist for Corriere della Sera, author of numerous successful books and member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. The prize for “Investigative Journalism” goes to Nello Scavo, special correspondent of ‘Avvenire’, expert in judicial reporting and war correspondent. The recognition for “Judicial Journalism” goes to Giovanni Bianconi, special correspondent of the ‘Corriere della Sera’, expert on organized crime and author of numerous essays on right-wing and left-wing terrorism. Stefania Battistini, special correspondent for Tg1, protagonist of countless scoops from war theaters and author of essays on geopolitics, wins the Paolo Graldi award for “Radio and television journalism”. The “Journalism Under 35” award goes to Cecilia Sala, journalist of ‘Il Foglio’, writer and author of the podcast “Stories”, among the most listened to on digital platforms. Finally, the “Communicator” award goes to Giovanni Grasso, authoritative press and communication advisor to the President of the Republic, director of the press office of the Presidency of the Republic and writer.
