The CNT projects an intense closing of the year that includes three premieres

The outlook for the 2024 closing of the National Theater Company (CNT) outlines three premieres and five revivals, as well as a series of performances and workshops given in the states of the country as part of the CNT Regional Headquarters program, Aurora announced Cano, artistic director of the organization.

The productions will cross from the classic to the contemporary, in the context of its three current guidelines: National Dramatic Heritage, Universal Repertoire and Dialectic of diversity and transdiscipline.

The first premiere, Over the sound of a landslide, by Patricia Martínez Pedreguera, co-produced with the Hellenic Cultural Center, is the winning text of the Gerardo Mancebo del Carillo Trejo National Young Playwriting Award 2023. With the theme of child abuse, this play, directed by Paula Watson, began its season on October 2 at the La Gruta Forum.

For the staging of Each one in their own way, centenary work by Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936), example of the theater within the theaterdirector David Olguín made a unfolding of realities that allowed him to create a fictitious mirror audience that will see his life reflected in this melodrama of passions. Part of the Habitando a… program, this version of a classic will premiere on October 17 at the Teatro del Bosque Julio Castillo.

The third premiere, The AntiPalomas, by Enrique Olmos de Ita, directed by Daniela Arroio, obeys a new programmatic line of the CNT, which aims repay a historical debt: theater for childhood, since the company had not had content like thatindicated the playwright Simón Franco. Poetry Tuesday and Monologue Wednesday

The Regional Headquarters project grows

The staging will return to the billboard Juan and Julia never knew how, adaptation of Miss Julia, classic text by August Strindberg, directed by Daniel Giménez Cacho.
