Julio Iglesias denies that he is going to retire and assures that the day he does so he will announce it himself

The singer Julio Iglesias, 81, has denied in a statement that he is going to retire from music, stating that the day he does so he will announce it personally. In addition, he has indicated that he is currently working on a series for the streaming platform Netflix that will “change a lot” the perception of him.

“Today I woke up with the false news that I was retiring, in recent years they have killed me several times, they have said that I have Alzheimer’s, they have said everything, and today they have gone even further, a journalist I don’t know where says that a friend has told him, that I can’t and don’t want to sing anymore,” the artist expressed in a message on the social network Instagram.

He then detailed that the day he retires, he will be the one who will “personally” announce it, “with sadness, but with dignity.” He continued to lament “the evil that a bad journalist can do”, avoiding information in a media outlet.

Iglesias has assured that he is happy, “working with the Netflix series that will surely change the perception of my life a lot.” Meanwhile, he has sent all his love to his followers.
