Film director Timo Humaloja has died

Film director Timo Humaloja has died on Sunday morning at the age of 77, , says Yle. The matter was confirmed by Yelle Humaloja’s daughter Mirja Korhonsuo.

Among other things, Humaloja directed, wrote scripts and produced long and short films and audio plays. They were published on television, radio and in cinemas.

He directed Mainos-tv’s Teattertuokio in the late 1970s and worked at Radioteatteri and Televisioteatteri in the 1970s and 80s, Yle says.

His radio work includes, among other things, a five-part, nearly seven-hour long listening series James Joycen from the novel Odysseys.

In 1985, Humaloja received the Jussi award for best direction in films 8th day and Monologue.
