Gérard Jugnot moved to tears during a tribute to Michel Blanc at the Cinéroman Festival

The actor, childhood friend of the eternal Jean-Claude Dusse, could not hold back his tears during the tribute paid in honor of the actor this Saturday during the event which took place in Nice.

He was there despite everything. While the recent announcement of the death of Michel Blanc, who died at the age of 72 on the night of Thursday to Friday last year, shocked French cinema, his faithful friend Gérard Jugnot still attended the closing of the Festival Cinemaman Saturday evening at the Pathé Gare du Sud cinema in Nice.

Installed in his black armchair, the latter was seen with reddened eyes. The actor could not hold back his tears when the festival organizers paid tribute to Michel Blanc by broadcasting a video retracing the actor’s journey and compiling his most famous scenes.

In the hours following the death of the unforgettable Jean-Claude Dusse des Bronzés, Gérard Jugnot was one of the first to speak out.
« Damn Michel… What have you done to us… »said the actor on Friday morning in an Instagram story, all accompanied by a photo of Michel Blanc with a smile on his face.

The actor subsequently went to RTL to talk about the career of his childhood friend: « I think he was like me, like Christian (Clavier), we were already old fools. He wanted to make music, and then when he saw that he would not have the level to be a great concert performer, he branched off towards theater and literature. »confided the actor. Before concluding: « It’s thanks to Michel that I did theater. »
