The sequel to the Finnish metal music comedy feels like a repeat. Jokes work best for connoisseurs.

The summary is made by artificial intelligence and checked by a human.

Finnish Have a nice trip -film was a positive surprise. The weirdness of metal music was treated with a warm northern touch.

Now it’s getting a sequel, which the director-writer pair is still Jukka Vidgren and Juuso Laatiobut the distribution company has become Nelonen Media. In the place of the first effortlessness, there are occasional violent jokes and pretty much repetition.

Impaled Rectum -the band hangs out in a Norwegian prison at the beginning of the sequel.

Guitarist Lotvonen (Samuli Jaskio) gloomy Martti Syrjän the featured father needs money to save the homestead. A Slytherin record label boss named ME Fisto (Anatole Taubman) offers a lucrative gig at the legendary Wacken festival. Does the underground maintain credibility or make money?

Bass player Xytrax (Max Ovaska), more flexible vocalist Turo (Johannes Holopainen). Drummer Oula (Chike Ohanwe) would mostly like to call. Will the group stay together?

The group escapes from prison and is followed by the sadistic prison guard Dokken (Helén Vikstvedt). The band ends up on the tour bus of the fictional band Bloodmotor. The drummer plays the lines Jussi 69. German actress David Bredin is like a dark version of the late Type O Negative as a singer From Peter Steele – the best character in the movie.

Happily, Baby Metal, which combines Japanese pop and modern metal, is included even in a speaking role.

As a peek into the metal duck pond, the film has its moments.

Ingredients so it is. The problem is the thin script and the thrill-scene narrative rhythm. Constantly, the group of boys is in trouble with someone blocking the gig, but they ride them out. Metal riff to play and escape – and the same again.

Otherwise, the situations will repeat themselves. Face-painted Xytrax quite often disagrees with someone.

As a peek into the metal duck pond, the film has its good moments. For an outsider, it can be eye-opening to see a boringly apt parody of contemporary metal production.

The hardest trip still seems to work best for those of us who know the genre.

The funniest jokes, like about the Norwegian metal legend Abbathista told, only laugh if you know who Abbath is. Otherwise, sometimes we go on the “it’s not a sausage” level.

As they say in the industry, Impaled Rectum’s first demo was the best.

Script by Jukka Vidgren and Juuso Laatio. In the roles Johannes Holopainen, Max Ovaska, Chike Ohanwe and Samuli Jaskio.
