Estampa 2024 exhibits contemporary art in Spain at Ifema Madrid, with García-Alix as guest artist

The 32nd edition of the Estampa fair will showcase gallery art and contemporary art in Spain with the participation of nearly 100 galleries and around a thousand national and international artists, which can be seen from October 17 to 20 at the Ifema fairgrounds. Madrid. The guest artist will be Alberto García-Alix, who participates with a series of photographs specially created for the fair.

It will be in pavilion 5 of the Ifema Madrid fairgrounds where the works can be seen for four days, in which there will be activities, prizes and talks, as highlighted by the organization in a statement.

Within its programming but in another location, the conference ‘Absence as a stimulus’ by Alberto García-Alix stands out on Sunday, October 20 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid.

The Estampa fair highlights that this call will feature the main galleries of the Spanish gallery scene, also incorporating twenty new projects created in Spain in recent years, which respond to recent aesthetics and plastic creators, as well as new collectors.

The section curated by Lorena Martínez de Corral includes Ponce + Robles (Madrid), Rocío Santa Cruz (Barcelona), F2 Galería (Madrid), The Ryder Projects (Madrid) and Twin Gallery (Madrid) who propose recoveries and new ways of looking our painting.

As for the activities, the program will host, among others, a series of conferences under the title ‘America round trip’ and there will be the exhibition ‘Cruce de gazes’ with works selected by Lorena Martínez de Corral from the Otazu Collection, Brillembourg Collection , 360 Degrees Collection, Collegium Collection, Ana Helena and Eduardo Pires Collection and Franz Ruz Collection, all of them belonging to Latin American citizens residing in Spain.
