The Ministry of Culture grants subsidies to cultural entities worth 939,810 euros

The Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday, at the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun the Royal Decree of direct granting of subsidies to 14 foundations, local entities and associations for the implementation of cultural actions worth 939.810 euros according to the BOE.

Specifically, the cultural entities that have been awarded the subsidy are the Helga de Alvear Foundation, the Brañosera City Council, the Spanish Association for Normalization (UNE), Hispania Nostra, the Municipal Culture Foundation of the Valladolid City Council, the Antonio Foundation Pérez de Cuenca, the MARCO de Vigo Foundation, the Ibiza City Council, the Spanish Federation of Friends of Museums, the Royal Foundation of Toledo, the Torner Foundation, the Arte y Pensamiento Foundation Martín Chirino, the Toledo City Council and the Urbs Regia Association.

Thus, the Toledo City Council must allocate the amount to the recovery and museumization of the Vega Baja archaeological site (400,000 euros); while the City Council of Brañosera (Palencia) will have to allocate it to the celebration of the 1,200th anniversary of Carta Puebla de Brañosera (69,000 euros); then, the Helga de Alvear Foundation for operating expenses of the Helga de Alvear Museum of Contemporary Art (50,000 euros); and the Municipal Cultural Foundation of the Valladolid City Council, for operating expenses of the Patio Herreriano Museum of Contemporary Spanish Art (50,060 euros).

Other entities that will receive a subsidy of 50,000 euros each are the MARCO Foundation of Vigo, which will have to allocate it to operating expenses; the Ibiza City Council, which will have to use it for operating expenses of the Puget Museum; the Spanish Federation of Friends of Museums; the Royal Foundation of Toledo for operating expenses of the Victorio Macho Museum; the Torner Foundation for operating expenses of the Torner Space; and the Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation for operating expenses and activities.

On the other hand, Hispania Nostra will have to use the 65,000 euros for the development of its activities; the Urbs Regia Association for cultural activities (15,000 euros); the UNE for the payment of the fee of Subcommittee CTN 50/SC 1 –‘Management and preservation of documents and digital information’ and the support of the working group ‘Management and preservation of Digital information’ (14,000 euros); and, finally, the Antonio Pérez de Cuenca Foundation will have to use the 15,000 euros for its current expenses.
