The Film Festival closes its edition with almost 1.4 million spectators, the best figure since 2019

‘Venom: The Last Dance’, ‘Wild Robot’ and ‘The Infiltrator, the most viewed films

The XXIII edition of the Film Festival has recorded a total of 1,394,058 spectators which represents the best attendance figure for this event since 2019, according to provisional data from the consulting firm Comscore Movies. This figure represents an increase of more than 63% compared to the June 2024 edition and 16% more compared to the October 2023 edition.

The Film Festival It started last Monday, November 4 and ended this Thursday, November 7 and it has already become the second best week so far this year, behind the week of the premiere of ‘Inside Out 2’, on June 21.

‘Venom: The Last Dance’ leads the ranking of the most viewed films of this new edition of the Film Festival, and is followed, in order, ‘Wild Robot’, ‘The infiltrator’, ‘Terrifier 3’, ‘Jury No. 2’, ‘Red One’‘Smile 2’, ‘The substance’, ‘The room next door’ y ‘Escape‘. On this occasion, there have been three Spanish films that have made it into the top ten spots –‘The Infiltrator’, ‘The Room Next Door’ and ‘Escape’.

The Film Festival is an initiative organized by the Federation of Film Distributors (FEDICINE), the Federation of Cinemas of Spain (FECE) and the Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) that seeks to encourage attendance at movie theaters as a social and cultural habit, and show the industry’s gratitude to all the viewers who enjoy the magic of movies on the big screen every year.
