Coldplay: Chris Martin interrupts a concert to help a boy in the pit

A remarkable act of kindness. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin stopped mid-gig in Sydney, Australia on November 6 after noticing that a boy in the pit was struggling to stand and was on the verge of being crushed by the crowd, reports BFMTV.

The singer then ensured that the child was helped and got a better seat, before resuming his show which took place at the Accor Stadium in Sydney. “You can sit here, you don’t have to be tight.” You don’t need to be crushed by all these adults,” he tells him at first, as the boy is lifted over the barriers to another place closer to the stage .

“Sit there little guy… Feeling better?” We will take care of you,” Chris Martin then adds, to the cries and applause of the audience, who seem to have appreciated the gesture.

An Australian tour marked by incidents

On tour in Australia as part of the “Music of the Spheres” tour, the British pop rock group experienced several incidents during previous dates. The band’s first concert as part of this Australian stadium tour had to take place without bassist Guy Berryman, who was forced not to participate in the show after falling ill. “Tonight was the first time in our band’s history that we played a show without all four members on stage,” Coldplay said immediately after that first night.

On November 3, during a concert in Melbourne, Chris Martin suddenly fell through a trap door on stage while speaking to the audience between songs, before being caught by members of the technical team located under the stage. Fortunately, he was quickly able to return to the stage without injury to continue the evening.
