Until I Kill You, about a British serial killer, is based on true events

The British series tells how a London nurse faced a nightmare in her local pub. In addition to the serial killer, the victim was tormented by the British legal system.

Nurse Delia Balmer encountered serial killer John Sweeney in London in the early 1990s.

In the series, Balmer is played by Anna Maxwell Martin and the murderer is Shaun Evans.

Balmer later wrote a book about his experiences.

But then there are also women who are targeted by a violent bastard or even a serial killer. This is what happened to a nurse living in London in the early 1990s To Delia Balmer.

Balmer met an interesting man in a pub in North London John Sweeney. You’ll soon get sick. Both were a bit rebellious. Both liked to travel.

The man became Balmer’s boyfriend.

But then Sweeney showed his real hair.

Praised Until I Kill You belongs to those series that feel too horrible to watch, but at the same time are just too good to stop watching.

You can be afraid all the time.

Even playing a murderer Shaun Evans was initially dismissive of the fact that he had to get into Sweeney’s shoes in his role.

“The first thought was that it’s really not fun. But then I thought that it would be interesting and professionally challenging”, Young Morse Evans (b. 1980), known for the series, told reporters in London.

Miniseries however, the real central character is Delia Balmer, a troublesome victim who refuses to die. Balmeria is acting Anna Maxwell Martinknown for his many brilliant roles in various British series.

Award-winning Martini (b. 1977) specializes in complex and intellectual female characters. Who doesn’t remember his dry and deadly police role in the hit series Line of Duty. Or his understated superiority as an intelligence agent in a spy series A Spy Among Friends.

It’s not enough to have a serial killer on your butt. The police and the British legal system are also working against the victim – not so much out of malice as out of incompetence.

But Balmer does not submit. He lets his anger both be seen and heard.

The authorities cannot even handle the victim’s anger.

“In part, this is a story about how to treat someone who doesn’t look like a victim,” Anna Maxwell Martin said at a press conference in London.

According to Martin, filming the violent scene made Balmer realize how terrible the situations have been.

The actor himself lives in the same part of London as Balmer used to.

“I didn’t know about the events before [– –]they still feel shocking,” Martin said.

 

 

Delia Balmer (Anna Maxwell Martin) refused to be a victim.

Balms refused to be a victim. He wrote a book about his experiences, which was originally published under the name Living With a Serial Killer (2017).

Writer of the series Nick Stevens has known Balmer for a long time. Balmer also visited the set of the miniseries.

Not everything can be understood by an outsider: according to Stevens, Balmer still has the bed in his home that Sweeney once tied him to.

It’s just an object, according to the character.

From the audience, Stevens hopes for one thing: “The victim always deserves our sympathy, no matter how awkward, unconventional or different he is.”
