The writer Renzo Bistolfi he died at the age of 70. Narrator of dramatic stories, populated with vivid and fascinating characters, he was a brilliant author of provincial detective stories often set in his native Liguria.
The funeral took place in the church of San Nicola in Sestri Ponente (Genoa) where he lived. The Tea publishing house, which publishes his books, announced the writer’s passing “lamenting his distinction, irony and unmistakable style, and remembering his many beloved novels”.
Life and works
Born in Genoa in 1954dal 1981 Bistolfi lived in Milanwhere he worked as a manager in an international company. Returned to live in Liguriasince 2007 he began to write and publish the stories that have always fascinated himinspired by the novels of Georges Simenon, who he considered a true master.
His first novel, ‘The polite handling of the Misses Devoto. Or an intrigue in Sestri Ponente’ was released by Tea in 2015.
