The National Prado Museum has opened a profile on Bluesky, a social network similar to X, to share its collections, stories and the day-to-day life of the museum with users.
“The Prado Museum now has a profile on Bluesky. We open a new window to share with those who love art our collections, stories and the day-to-day life of the museum,” the institution announced in a publication on X.
The institution has taken advantage of its first publication to share its institutional video titled ‘Welcome. Museo Nacional del Prado’, made by the Neapolitan artist Francesco Jodice and which displays works by Velázquez, Goya, Fra Angélico, Ribera, Rafael, Tintoretto, etc.
In the video, the highest technology, literary references and a musical theme by the French composer Philippe Rombi, taken from the soundtrack of the film ‘Dans la Maison’ by François Ozon, guide the viewer on a journey through the interior of the Museum of Prado, touring its architecture, its main rooms and the masterpieces of its permanent collection, while immersing it in an imaginary journey through the lives, thoughts and emotions of the people who visit it.
