The adaptation of the manga “Drops of God” wins the international Emmy award

The French-Japanese miniseries “Drops of God” won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.

The series, adaptation of the homonymous Japanese manga successful, it follows the estranged daughter of a French wine critic as she battles her protégé to try to reclaim her inheritance. The first season of the show was streamed on Apple TV+ in 2023, while the upcoming second season has been acquired by the American streaming service.

 

“It’s a series about family, about connections and about finding identity in the world of wine, which is a world of its own,” star Fleur Geffrier told AFP at the awards ceremony in New York. The International Emmy Awards they reward television produced outside the United States. The international version takes place separately from the Emmy awards given to American productions.
