‘The B Project’ in the Casa dell’Atrio in Mexico City showcasing the art of Benito Macerata

‘The B Project’ is the new exhibition that will start on November 28th, until December 1st, inside the iconic ‘Casa del Atrio’ in Mexico City, designed by Antonio Attolini Lack. A space where light, color and architecture meet art. In this wonderful residence the works of various artists will be exhibited, with the letter B in common, such as Betsabeé Romero, Bradley Narduzzi, Barry Wolfryd, Bonvicini and Benito Macerata. This architectural jewel stands out for its central atrium which transforms the atmosphere throughout the day. Currently, the house hosts a collaborative exhibition between Galeria Errante and NM Contemporaneo that features works of contemporary art and design, creating a unique dialogue between the architectural and the visual. Galeria Errante is a nomadic gallery, founded in 2015 by Alessandra Migliano, an Italian-Mexican art gallery owner and curator born and raised in Mexico, who has managed to incorporate big names in Mexican and international art throughout her career.

Among the protagonists of this exhibition is the Italian artist and stylist Benito Macerata with his works that blend painting with experimentation with materials. Already a fashion designer for many national and international fashion brands, after the presentation of his artistic history at the exclusive Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York and the exhibition of his works in Dubai, Macerata has started a fruitful collaboration with Alpemare di Forte dei Marmi, owned by Andrea Bocelli’s family. “This opportunity in Mexico is like the icing on the cake that concludes this beautiful year on an artistic level, with the fantastic experience with the Bocelli family and their working group and the renewal of the partnership for next year. This is how we close a season fantastic for my artistic growth. The satisfaction is enormous, with several collaborations closing and a lot of attention and requests from international galleries. I thank the Bocelli family as well as the Columbus Citizens Foundation for the splendid opportunities it has opened up to me American market. Now comes Mexico where I will exhibit paintings in handmade paper from a paper mill in Fabriano, in which I insert shapes, laces and pieces of leather to compose my works”, the artist from the Marche Benito Macerata told Adnkronos.

Galeria Errante already carried out its first collaboration with the artist Benito Macetara in 2020 and in 2021 presented it for the first time in Mexico. A great artist and stylist who has had a passion for design since he was a child. His sensitivity led him to promote his art in a different way where he not only offers a different way of seeing art, but also combines it with high fashion, offering unique pieces of the highest quality. In this exhibition the gallery visited his studio in San Elpidio al Mare, where these pieces were made, in collaboration with Italy’s oldest paper mill in Fabriano, which has a history of over 800 years in paper production.
