Canadian actor Julien Arnold collapses and dies on stage during a play at the age of 60

A brutal death. Canadian actor Julien Arnold died after collapsing on stage on Sunday, November 24, during a theatrical performance of “A Christmas Carol,” one of Charles Dickens’ most famous tales, at the Citadel Theater in the city of Edmonton (Canada), reports Radio Canada.

In a press release, the theater thanked its team, the health professionals present in the room and the emergency medical services “for their rapid intervention” to take care of the actor and artistic director. Despite resuscitation attempts, Julien Arnold died in the operating room. The cause of death has not been communicated.

 

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Julien Arnold, an actor loved by all and a dear friend of the Citadel Theater,” the theater said in a statement posted on Instagram.

A very beautiful tribute to the theater

The actor who played the roles of Marley and Mr. Fezziwig in the play also received a very nice tribute from the Citadel Theater. “His presence brought joy, heart and depth to every role, and his artistic contributions – and his big hugs – will be deeply missed,” the statement read. The theater announced that in his honor, all performances of the play “A Christmas Carol” this season would be dedicated to him.

An online fundraiser on the GoFundMe platform was opened by the theater to support his family. “This is a fundraiser to help support his wife Sheiny with the costs associated with his death, including funeral costs, rent, groceries and time off to grieve,” he said. we particularly read.
