The platform of solidarity artists dtproject, in collaboration with Diaconía España, premieres this Tuesday, December 3, the documentary ‘Valientes’, for which 10 women survivors of trafficking have participated.
In addition to these women, the project – which will be presented at the Teatros Luchana in Madrid – has had the collaboration of nearly 120 volunteers from different professionals from public institutions and civil society entities that care for victims and survivors in a tour of nine Spanish provinces.
Thus, as the producer explains in a statement, this initiative seeks to “shed light” on a reality that is often “silenced”, offering a platform to amplify the voices of women who have survived this crime and whose lives have been marked by a profound violation of their human rights.
On the other hand, to accompany the documentary, the project has a musical work of 14 original songs inspired by the real stories of survivors, a 60-page book, which combines texts, conceptual photographs and reflections to complement the experience and the documentary in Yes, it is divided into three episodes.
‘Valientes’ is the result of the joint effort of dtproject and Diaconía España, developed within the framework of the ‘Deactivate trafficking’ program, an initiative financed by the Secretary of State for Equality and for the Eradication of Violence against Women of the Ministry of Equality.
This program actively works to combat human trafficking, promoting prevention, awareness-raising and comprehensive support for survivors.
