Spain will invest 80 million euros in the recovery and enhancement of 93 Historical Heritage monuments

He Government of Spain through the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, will invest 80,165,350.49 euros in the recovery and enhancement of 93 monuments of Spanish Historical Heritage which represents a contribution of 66.56 percent of the total cost of the works by the central Executive.

The resolution, which is provisional, It is conditional on the approval of the execution projects and the financial contributions committed.Once accepted, it will be final.

The resolution benefits monuments located in thirteen autonomous communities and Melilla, with a distribution of more than 80 million euros as follows: Andalusia, 17.9 million; Aragon, 3.24 million; Castilla-La Mancha, 4.2 million; Castilla y León, 10 million; Catalonia, 15.95 million; Madrid, 218,000 euros; Comunitat Valenciana, 7.55 million; Extremadura, 2.45 million; Galicia, 4.91 million; Balearic Islands, 562,000 euros; La Rioja, 1.81 million; Melilla, 580,000 euros; Euskadi, 2.93 million; and, the Region of Murcia, 7.67 million.

On December 12, a new Collaboration Agreement was signed between the Ministries of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and of Housing and Urban Agenda for joint action in Spanish Historical Heritage, through two percent Cultural, with a validity of four years .

The first meeting held by the Joint Commission, on December 19, chaired by the Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Agenda, David Lucas, and attended by the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano, approved the prioritized list of the actions previously assessed by the Valuation Commission, within the framework of the Call for aid published in the BOE of July 22, 2023, submitting the proposal to the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, for the issuance of the Provisional Resolution. This call plans to allocate 80 million euros, the largest to date, to projects for the recovery and enhancement of Spanish historical heritage.
