Actress Hannelore Hoger is dead

In Helmut Dietl’s chic gloss “Rossini” (1997) she shone as a gossip reporter alongside colleagues such as Götz George and Mario Adorf. But the role for which she was most loved by a large audience was that of “Bella Block” in the ZDF crime series of the same name: The actress Hannelore Hoger is dead.

The television, film and stage star died on December 21st in Hamburg. This was confirmed by Hoger’s acting agency and ZDF.

From 1993 to 2017, Hoger stood in front of the camera as Inspector “Bella Block” and enjoyed great success. She was awarded, among other things, the Bavarian Television Prize (1996) and the Golden Camera (1998). The series’ final episode aired in 2018.

Throughout her life, Hannelore Hoger ran a kind of confusion around her year of birth, the information ranges from 1940 to 1943. Her agency names the year 1940. The actress had largely withdrawn from the public eye a few years ago.

Her last TV appearances were on RTL in 2021 (“KBV – No special incidents”) and in the series “Nord Nord Mord” in 2020. Hannelore Hoger leaves behind a daughter, Nina, who also works as an actress.
