Amaia Montero announces her return to music in 2025 after several “stolen years”

“This 2025 I return to MUSIC”announced in the last of the year Amaia Montero. The Guipuzcoan singer has shared a brief statement on her social networks to confirm the news that EL MUNDO already reported last October: her plan to return to music in 2025.

In her message, Amaia Montero describes her last years with sadness: “They have been very hard on me”he says, and defines this time as “stolen years”, although he confesses to feeling “happiness and excitement” facing 2025.

This is his full message:

“From this window I can see you, you are almost here. Please treat me well, because your predecessors have been very hard on me.
Take care of me and help me because it will be under your mantle when I return to what I have missed most in these stolen years.
This 2025 I return to MUSIC.
Happy new year to everyone!!!
I wish you all the happiness and excitement that I feel now.”

The plans for the return of Amaia Montero48 years old, include the publication of a new solo album with Sony (the record company of his entire career), in which he began working intermittently in 2020 and which he has resumed and got back on track in recent months. It would be his fifth solo album, the first he released in seven years.

On October 29, he already published a new song, perfect storma 2014 composition that he recorded and mastered a decade ago, but which was left off the album If God wants me too.

Furthermore, her celebrated appearance as a guest at one of the concerts she offered Karol G last summer at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, has confirmed his return to the concerts next year, although it probably wouldn’t be with a long and intense tour.

It is apparently ruled out, therefore, that she will once again be the singer of Van Gogh’s Ear. The group from its beginnings announced last October that Leire Martínez was no longer their vocalist and that, after a period of rest that they are still enjoying, they would return with a new format, without providing further details. The wishes of many fans then transformed into a storm of rumors about Amaia’s possible return to La Oreja, the group from which she separated in 2007 at the peak of her popularity.

Throughout her career, Amaia Montero has suffered mental health problems such as anxiety and depression that have worsened in recent years, these “stolen years” that she refers to now and that separated her from records and stages. In 2022, during the preparation work for an album that was left aside, he suffered an acute case of stress for which he was admitted to the University of Navarra Clinic for more than a month.
