Neil Young changed his mind: he will perform at giant festivals in Britain

According to the musician, there was “incorrect information” behind the previous announcement.

Musician Neil Young will perform this summer at the Glastonbury festival in Britain.

After first announcing that he was not going to perform at the traditional giant festivals in Britain, the musician said that he changed his mind.

Young’s earlier decision to leave the festival was announced in a statement on his website. The announcement came out even before the Glastonbury festival had even had time to announce this year’s performers. The announcement was widely reported on Thursday.

In Young’s view, the festival’s collaboration with the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC meant that the event was “dominated by corporate power”. Now the announcement in question has been removed from the website. Instead a very short message has been published on the websiteannouncing that Neil Young and his band will perform at Glastonbury.

The reason for the previous, now canceled announcement is said to be “incorrect information”.
