Drag artist The Vivienne, 32, has died

British drag artist The Vivienne, real name James Lee Williamshas died, says, among other things, the British broadcasting company BBC.

The 32-year-old Williams was better known by her stage name The Vivienne. The drag name comes from the way Williams dressed—she liked Vivienne Westwood (1941–2022) of the clothes designed, the BBC says.

Williams’ death was reported by a spokesperson Simon Jones.

“James was incredibly loved, warm-hearted and an amazing person. Their family is devastated by the loss of their son, brother and uncle,” Jones wrote in a social media update.

Williams won the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019.
