Hit lyricist Saara Törmä became a singer, the first single is about baking in a chaotic world

Finland one of the most successful pop lyricists Saara Törmä is now also a pop singer. His first single Swiss roll will be released on January 24, but from the song there are already Tiktok videos as a sample.

“It’s incredibly fun when you can do something else for a change, and you don’t have to take it so seriously whether someone else likes it,” says Törmä.

In the release, he describes writing lyrics as a lonely and miserable job, “which has very little to do with the joy that music offers”. Now, at the end of the drilling, a reward awaits when you get to “take care”.

Törmä is also ready to play gigs if the songs are in demand. So far Törmä has performed twice, most recently last summer in Järvenpää.

“We used to have a summer cafe here, where payment was not handled with money, but by the guests of the cafe presenting something. Not everyone wanted to perform, so we did it for them. Then it was pulled Wrapped tart probably eight times during that day,” says Törmä, who lives in Järvenpää.

Törmä says that despite his short experience, performing has been an inspiring experience for him.

“The whole joy of music has been revealed to me only now,” he says and laughs.

One of the Tiktok videos was shot at the Finnish Music Makers’ Little Christmas, where Törmä dances among the party guests in the same outfit and with the same movements as in the music video.

“It feels like no one even noticed that we were filmed.”
