The Limina editorial brand returns to bookstores

From January 21st, Limina, one of the publishing brands that marked an era for sports literature in Italy, returns to bookstores. After a long period of inactivity, Limina – now a brand of Adriano Salani Editore srl, Mauri Spagnol publishing group – relaunches its editorial identity by broadening its horizons.

“We want to do it through the stories of men and women who have been able to explore life in many forms, becoming a source of inspiration”, declares Gianluca Mazzitelli, CEO and editor in charge of Adriano Salani. Limina will thus return to bookstores with new stories of heroes, champions and their exploits, current and epic, historical and exciting, with a 360-degree view.

The first book to be published will be “Novak” by Mark Hodgkinson, the richest and most internationally accredited biography of Novak Djokovic, the most successful tennis player ever. The book is a journey into the head and life of a controversial and one-of-a-kind champion. The author, one of the most authoritative sports journalists in the world, recounts with insights and direct testimonies the difficult years in war-torn Serbia, the pride, the anger, the difficulties and above all the love for tennis and competition. It will be released on January 21st, in conjunction with the Australian Open, the tournament in which Djokovic holds the absolute record for victories. In February it will be the turn of Lewis Hamilton’s first biography as a new Ferrari driver. In “Lewis Hamilton – The biography” the author Frank Worrall tells in a complete and updated way the most unpublished aspects of the life of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, from the teachings of his grandfather who immigrated to England from the Caribbean to the sacrifices of his father and the relationship with his brother. The volume will be in bookstores on February 11, during the presentation of the new single-seaters for the upcoming 2025 season.

Among the other titles that will be released in the first months of the year: “Blood Enemies” by Barbara Smit, the incredible story of the two brothers who founded Adidas and Puma; “Fahrenheit 182” by Mark Hoppus, the highly anticipated memoir of the bassist, singer and founder of Blink 182; “A tenth of you” by Marco Maccarini, iconic face of television in the nineties and 2000s, now a passionate walker who will guide readers to discover the most fascinating Italian routes.

The name Limina originates from the Latin ‘limen, limina’, that is, borders and at the same time thresholds, entrances, passages towards what is not yet known.
