Three galleries and a work by the artist Pedro Machuca represent Spain at the Belgian art fair BRAFA

The galleries CONALGHI, Jordi Pascual Gallery and Montagut Gallery as well as the work of the Renaissance artist Pedro Machuca, ‘St. Jerome the Penitent’ will represent Spanish art at the Belgian art fair BRAFA 2025.

So, The 70th edition of BRAFA will open its doors on January 26 and will have more than 130 galleries from all over Europe covering specialties, from ancient to contemporary art, through old master painting, classical African art, antique and designer furniture, metalwork, carpets and textiles. , rare books and jewelry, among many others.

In this edition, which has the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos as guest of honor, two new countries are welcomed: Sweden, which will be represented by Hoffmans Antiques, a gallery in Stockholm specialized in Gustavian furniture and works of art from the 18th century and early 19th century; and, on the other hand, Portugal, which will be represented by J. Baptista, a Lisbon gallery that presents jewelry and antique silverware from leading Portuguese and international silversmiths.

Furthermore, among the new participants, BRAFA welcomes for the first time the Spanish COLNAGHI and the Galerie Nathalie Obadia. The BRAFA program will also be expanded with specialties such as Greco-Roman archeology with Valerio Turchi – Rome -, crystals, fossils and meteorites with Stone Gallery – Baarn -, and French art from the Barbizon period to Impressionism and post-impressionism that covers the 19th and early 20th centuries with Stoppenbach & Delestre –London and Paris–.
