YLE’s journalist Sakari Kilpelä is dead

Supplier Sakari Kilpelä has died of illness at the age of 69, says Broadcast. Kilpelä worked for a long time on the Finnish Broadcasting Company, but sometimes went on to make programs for MTV3.

Kilpelä worked on the Finnish Broadcasting Company’s current TV show from the late 1980s and hosted MTV’s Morning Finland program since 1996. Over the next decade, he returned to the Finnish Broadcasting Company, where he worked on both radio and television current affairs such as A-studio and the first morning.

Kilpelä retired in the early 2020s, says YLE.
